At approximately 7:50 AM, Thursday, September 21st, there was an accident involving a school bus and another vehicle on the corner of Cook Road and Route 207 in Highgate. Swanton Police, Vermont State Police and Missisquoi Valley Rescue responded to the scene along with the MVU School Resource Officer and the Highgate Elementary principal.
Although no serious injuries were reported, five students were transported to the hospital for examination. The remaining students were released and transported to school. All parents of the students involved have been contacted.
